I've compiled 12 of the arcade propaganda posters into a 2011 calendar. The overall size of the calendar is 11 x 17 so the prints are slightly smaller than that. They are available here.
And, for fans of the film, I placed this one on December in anticipation of the release:

Whoops. Missed Retro Thursday*, again
One day late isn't bad. I'm busy working on something new that I hope to show in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned.
For now, here is something without a home or purpose. It's at least five years old, maybe older. There are some definite Frank Frazetta influences in this one.
*In an effort to post something at least once a week I'll be showing an image from the archives each Thursday.

Peppermill Records 2999
A while back I was asked to do a lead illustration for Peppermill Records' music/art project called "2999". Essentially, the scene depicts a futuristic rave on some distant planet with a giant robot pumping out the tunes. The dancers are having a great time, but wary of the robot's intentions. I'm excited to announce the project is now up and running. Here is the description of this really cool art/music venture:
"What do you envision for our future? Specifically, 989 years from now? That's a question we asked our producers with this project. Picture the year 2999 and soundtrack it. Show us what might be, or what they'd wish for humanity.
To help bring these visions to life we have a small army of illustrators choosing tracks to interpret. They take the music and the idea and work their magic, and whether it's what the musician had originally imagined, or not, the results are fascinating."
Check the site frequently as new tracks will be added.

Arcade game propaganda: Final in the series
Well, I finally got around to doing the last arcade propaganda poster. I relied on an earlier design that I am unable to sell so if it looks familiar, that is why. I think it works well for this one too. I tried to hash out a number of other games for this last poster (including Tempest, which is one of my favourites), but none of the sketches seemed to jump out at me. Prints are available here.
A calendar of 12 posters will be coming soon.

Retro Thursday*
Whoops. I let two weeks slip by there. Time again for something from the archives. This one started as a photo manipulation of a bat wing, a sunset and some rocks - then turned into something more. It wasn't done for anything in particular. I was looking at a lot of Brom's stuff at the time so there are some influences there with the armour and helmet.
