Updated 2014 calendars now available!

I've updated a few calendars for 2014. The space travel series is back, along with some propaganda-style and various poster collections. The design of these calendars was more for the image rather than the dates. This was to take advantage of the tall format to fit the posters.

Have a look!

Limited (sort of) edition prints for Huckberry.com

Huckberry.com asked to team up on some of my space travel and arcade propaganda artwork. They are selling them at a discounted price ($35 each) for a limited time. I'm doing a Giclee print run exclusively for them on
- Fine Art Smooth
- Smooth, professional Matte finish
- 100% Cotton rag, warm white
- Acid Free
- Archival Museum Quality
- 270 gsm, 15 mil.
at approx. 15 by 22 inches.
They aren't exactly limited, because they will be available elsewhere, but I'm only having a certain number made for Huckberry this week on this paper type.

You can read a bit more on their blog and note that if you want to enter the store you just need to put in an email address and password.

These ones are available:

Arcade game propaganda 2011 calendar

I've compiled 12 of the arcade propaganda posters into a 2011 calendar. The overall size of the calendar is 11 x 17 so the prints are slightly smaller than that. They are available here.

And, for fans of the film, I placed this one on December in anticipation of the release:

Arcade game propaganda: Final in the series

Well, I finally got around to doing the last arcade propaganda poster. I relied on an earlier design that I am unable to sell so if it looks familiar, that is why. I think it works well for this one too. I tried to hash out a number of other games for this last poster (including Tempest, which is one of my favourites), but none of the sketches seemed to jump out at me. Prints are available here.

A calendar of 12 posters will be coming soon.

Arcade game propaganda: Part XII

I've gone further back for this one. Way back into the 1970s (if Wiki is right). It's the latest in the series of mock propaganda posters. I plan on doing just one more - to complete a calendar. As always, prints are available here.

I'd say it's somewhat of a companion piece to this one:

Arcade game propaganda: Part XI

The latest in the series. A mash-up of vintage propaganda posters and retro 1980s arcade games. Prints available here.

Arcade game propaganda: Part X

The latest in the series. Just trying to keep them different from one another.

Arcade game propaganda: Part VIII and IX

No. 8 and 9 in the series of mock propaganda posters based on 1980s arcade games. This round has an "apparition" theme. The first is arguably the most popular arcade game, while the second is said to be one of the most difficult. I have three more of these posters planned. Prints of the second one are available here.

Arcade game propaganda: Part VII

No. 7 in the series of mock propaganda posters based on 1980s arcade games. Trying some new colours, hopefully not overdoing the grungy/texture. By year's end I plan to have enough for a calendar. Only five more to go. Prints are available here.

Arcade game propaganda: Part VI

Sixth in a series of mock propaganda posters based on 1980s arcade games. This game was/is my favourite way to waste quarters. I liked the option to have two fighters - especially on challenge levels.

A new arcade propaganda poster (well, two)

Here is the latest in the series. I couldn't decide which layout I liked better so I posted both.

Arcade game propaganda: Part III and IV

Here are two more mock propaganda posters featuring 1980s arcade games.

I've made posters of them all. Click here to check them out.

Arcade game propaganda: Part II

Here is another poster in the series. I didn't play this one very much, but I think it lends itself to some propaganda.

Arcade game propaganda

On the heels of yesterday's post: I've started a series of posters in a vintage propaganda style. The subject matter is of old arcade games. Can you guess which game this is for?
